Based on TXT’s experience working with over 200 churches / organizations in Hong Kong, we have developed a sharing (共享空間) concept called “co-church.”
The concept is simply based on the building of 3 concentric rings or 3 communities:
1. The first innermost ring is the existing community that a church already has with her existing members or congregation, based around a Sunday-church-service model.
2. The second community or middle ring is to open up the under-utilized spaces in the church as a shared space to allow people outside to come in to share (THE HUB). Good comfortable seats, tables, etc. should be provided with free wifi and good coffee.
3. The third community or the outermost ring is to use a mobile app as a virtual space in conjunction with the physical space to build a 24×7 community.
